Good grief. I didn't make the most important statements. Calculated at 1.7%, the incidence rate of FMD as recorded in the US:

There are 4,906,801 people suffering from FMD, compared to 900,000 with HIV/AIDS in the USA;

There are 534,037 people with FMD compared to 49,800 with HIV/AIDS in Canada;

There are 1,604,228,800 people with FMD compared to
41,800,000 with HIV/AIDS in the world.

FMD is unknown and unrecognised; people with FMD suffer, without support, and die: most often undiagnosed.
