FMD Organizational Name Suggestions
During the January 10th meeting the following names were suggested for consideration for our formal organization:
Organization for Fibromuscular Dysplasia - OFMD
American Fibromuscular Dysplasia Association - AFMDA
International Organization for Fibromuscular Dysplasia - IOFMD
Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America - FMDSA
Fibromuscular Dysplasia America - FMDA (FMD America)
Other suggestions are welcome. Please be ready to vote on a final name by the next meeting on Monday, February 10, 2003 at 9 pm EST.

FD is a seperate disease
you left out the m for muscular.There is a disease called Fibro Dysplasia.Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP) is a rare disorder. The striking features of the disorder are the replacement of muscles, tendons, and aponeuroses by masses of bone, and the presence of certain skeletal abnormalities.I think that even FMD is to closely related to foot(hoof) and mouth disease.People will have to deal with the correct spelling of the disease,FIBRO MUSCULAR DYSPLASIA.If not then how about FMDO,Fibro Muscular Dysplasia Organization
