FMD in the Aorta
Well, it went better than I had expected. My doctor is very gentle. I have a place where adhesions have made the intestine twist a bit and I think he said connect to my stomach. But he was able to get past it. Took several biopsies. He said the test went well and didn't see anything but that sometimes there was stuff underneath so took them. Also some diviticuli (spell??) spots where there are indentations and food can get caught. Anyhow, waiting to see what biopsies show. I didn't feel well after. The meds just sort of hit me and ugh.

My brother is very seriously ill and I'm dealing with his doctors at the moment so am quite upset. Trying to get Christmas stuff done..................work is extremely busy with only two more weeks left to the term ...so I'm really out straight. Not feeling as well as I could. I see my cardiologist in 10 days. Upset that my pulse gets so strong where my aorta is by my diaphragm that you can see it beating. Shouldn't do that. Upsets me, which then only makes it worse. Since I've had my aortic valves removed and part of my heart aorta, I wonder if FMD is in the aorta there. ???? Anyone have FMD in their aorta??

Follow up on the renal arteries issue
Hi,

Yes, I have it in my renal arteries. I have to make this brief cause I have to get to work. However, during the angiogram I had they put in stents in both my renal arteries to hold them open. My BP went down but is slowly creeping up again. It's been 2 years. The CAT scan shows that the stents are still in place, but I don't know if more of the renal arteries are now involved. it took 6 hours to put the stents in. However, I also had an aneurysm on my right renal artery that took a major surgery to cut out. It was at a Y juncture. Some aneurysms can be removed during the angiogram. If you keep having high BP I'd ask about the stents. All the BP meds have a ton of side affects! I went to Brigham & Women's in Boston. Dr. Whittemore for the aneurysm and a Dr. Beckman seemed to know about it. They could see my aneurysm with the CAT scan but they have to be looking for it. I was lucky that the Dr. reading an X-Ray of my back caught it. Didn't have a clue that I had it. God to get. God Bless. Charlene

Hi Charlene: I, too, had a colonoscopy recently and I
had a hangover for three days from the anesthesia.
Luckily, the colonoscopy showed no polyps this time.
Have had several removed prior and Father had colon
cancer so am always anxious until the results are in.
May all of our tests be this easy!
Take care of yourself,
Yvonne
