URGENT – LETTER CAMPAIGN
The Senate is meeting now and soon will vote on this Bill. Please send this letter to your Senator and pass it along to friends. Thanks.

Dear Senator;

Re: The “Personal Responsibility in Food Consumption Act,” Bill H.R. 339

This Act supposedly will prevent frivolous lawsuits stemming from the so-called “obesity-related” epidemics that are now spreading worldwide.

“Obesity-related” isn’t about fat – it’s about kidney failure, cancer, diabetes, stroke, blood vessel diseases, muscle disorders and high blood pressure. These and other diseases defined as “obesity-related” by the insurance industry are listed in the April 2004 report from Swiss Re, the world's largest life and health reinsurer. The report basically defines all ‘modern’ epidemic diseases as obesity-related and self-inflicted.

In fact, all modern diseases are protein-related, as explained in corporate promotional copy for Proteomics Divisions of companies like Merck Pharmaceuticals.

Other research shows that protein-related diseases result from chronic subclinical prion protein infections. “Diverse human disorders …arise from (prion protein infections),” write researchers like Switzerland’s Dr. C. Soto and Dr. C. Hetz.

Infectious prion proteins are infamous for causing “Mad Cow” disease – and malformed proteins are found in 90% of patients with type 2 diabetes for example, in the pancreas. The US National Institute of Diabetes just identified a new infectious prion strain called vacuolar protease B (PrB) in March, 2004. Yet this administration backs industry’s definition of diabetes as a “self-inflicted obesity-related” disease.

Different prion strains cause different diseases. Infectious prions are spread by industry in consumer products like food, beverages, water, vaccines and blood, and in waste – and mutate easily to spread between species. As a result, infectious prions are now widespread – humans, land animals, and wildlife in rivers and oceans are infected. Environmental contaminants worsen the infections and cause more mutations.

Industry is using government to define ‘modern’ disease as “self-inflicted and obesity-related” to avoid responsibility.

Solving the “prion problem” will require full cooperation between industry, government and the people. This new “Personal Responsibility in Health Act” is not a solution. It protects industry from lawsuits related to prion infections but takes no positive action. Most heinous, publicity surrounding the Act shifts all the blame onto innocent people – goes well beyond race in profiling America’s “visually identifiable suspects” – and targets sick Americans as the latest “Enemies of the State.”

60% of Americans suffer so-called “obesity-related” diseases. That’s a majority.

Please vote no on Bill H.R. 339.

Sincerely,
